City of Olympia North Downtown Planning Area Study and Final Environmental Impact Statement
City with market analysis by Economic Consulting Services, Transportation analysis by Mike Birdsall
Purpose: To encourage the type and mix of downtown development described in the 1994 Olympia Comprehensive Plan for an area with high potential for redevelopment and infill.

The combined plan and EIS identified all known information about the area, identified market demand in the area and identified traffic and infrastructure issues that would result from redevelopment and infill. Recommendations for City action were identified in order to achieve various levels of redevelopment in the area.

City of Tacoma Downtown Strategic Plan (Housing Element)
Pyatok Associates for LMN Architects for Tacoma Economic Development Department
Purpose: Analysis of physical and regulatory issues related to housing in the downtown area, with prototyical designs and recommendations for changes to zoning regulations.

Topographic, platting, and zoning issues were investigated to determine obstacles to development of housing in the downtown area including significant tracts of vacant land immediately adjacent thereto. Prototypical designs were prepared for representative sites. Recommendations were made for changes to building and zoning codes.
